PRODUCTION

SIMONE DUNCAN

Artistic Director and Producer of Queen at the Opera

The passion for Queen was born on school benches, where he wrote the lyrics for the album Innuendo, leaving unaware traces of his future. Rock in the soul, but also classical music in the ears, generate the first seed of the future Simone Duncan. His first experiences were abroad where he became artistic director of the London Forum while studying business management. Production and art already coexist in a complex soul that hears a tone out of place with the left ear because the right is busy with other matters for an indispensable sold out. London by profession and Rome by optimism instinctively coexist in Simone's life who gave life to Rock City in the capital, but he also felt the swarming of opera arias within himself. The latest evolutions of the show that transform the panorama of musical theater allow it the gamble of Queen at The Opera. A choice that cost Simone ten years of work until his debut in 2015. In the heart, fixed, Freddie and his Queen. No film has yet celebrated their story. No musical has traveled the world on this media wave. Since then, the curtains have been drawn every evening, and at every stop, even when everything is against it, a crowd standing up singing and flooding him with his own identical love. A delirium that continues on social media where those who have been there once again share their enthusiasm. The show is in fact an experience, you can't hear it, you can't see it, it's just a collective participation that unites opera and rock, band and orchestra, artists and audience, the producer and the artistic director.
